February is “I Love to Read” month at Chanhassen Elementary! To celebrate this month, we have a number of activities planned. Some of these activities may require a little help from you at home:
Reading Olympics: Students will receive a reading Olympics sheet full of reading activities to complete at home during the month of February.
Reading Spirit Days
Feb. 6: Reading Makes Us Bright–wear neon colors
Feb. 13: Team Up for Reading-wear your favorite sports team shirt
Feb. 20: Hats Off to Reading-wear your favorite hat
Feb. 26: CHN Loves to Read-wear your CHN spirit wear
Book Tasting: Grades 2-4 will be doing a book tasting in Media this month to help students find some new books to read.
Book Bingo: We will be celebrating all our great reading on March 5th/6th by playing Book Bingo. During the month of February students may bring in new or gently used books to donate as prizes.
