Pick Up & Drop Off

Student safety is a major priority during Student Drop-off and Pick-up at Chanhassen Elementary. For this reason, a parking lot map is presented below to familiarize you with safety zones located in the north parking lot.

Morning Drop-off:

  • Enter the north parking lot loop and follow the yellow route around the parking lot to the drop off zone along the Yellow Curb next to the building.
  • The three cars in that zone should unload.
  • Carpool students walk in through Door #2.
  • Pull out cautiously.

After School Pick-up:

  • Carpool students will assemble on the north sidewalk.
  • Students will enter cars when they are in the loading zone.
  • Families pull out cautiously.

Student “drop off” and “pick up” zones have been designated. Please ensure that there is only one (1) “pick up” and “drop off” line. This is to ensure students are not walking between cars and daycare buses when leaving or being picked up from school. If you choose not to utilize the “pickup” and “drop off” lane please park in one of the designated spots. Once you’ve parked please meet your child and assist them walking through the parking lot. Please walk your children to your vehicle to maximize the safety of our students. Thanks for your support in making the parking lot safe for all the children at Chanhassen Elementary School.
